The original clubhouse was lost to fire in 2009. After initiating the complete renovation of the golf course and surrounding forest preserve in 2015, the Forest Preserve District selected a consultant to design a new clubhouse in 2016.

Design concepts were developed and presented to the public, after which a final concept was selected and developed into construction documents. The Board approved a contract for construction of the clubhouse in 2019 for $12,683,811 and construction was complete in Fall 2021.
