Take a Romantic Night Hike at Fullersburg Woods Feb. 7 & 8

Explore a preserve at night during popular evening walk for couples and friends

Enjoy the crisp winter weather this upcoming weekend with someone you love on a Nature Date Night: Romantic Night Hike from 6 to 9 p.m. on Feb. 7 and 8 at the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County’s Fullersburg Woods Forest Preserve at 3609 Spring Road in Oak Brook.

Stroll hand-in-hand with your sweetheart, or enjoy the company of friends on a 1- to 2-mile self-guided walk along lantern-lit paths. Wander through a serene oak forest, cross picturesque bridges spanning Salt Creek, and warm up by cozy fires at historic shelters. End your journey by roasting marshmallows and savoring a cup of hot chocolate or tea.

“We set the scene for a beautiful winter escape,” said District environmental interpreter Jenny Kamm. “Year after year this is one of our most popular programs for adults.”

The Nature Date Night: Romantic Night Hike is for ages 18 and up and costs $12 per person. Register online or at 630-933-7248. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy walking shoes or winter boots as the trails may be muddy or icy.
