Enjoy Nature-Focused Artwork at 'Hidden Creativity' Exhibit at Mayslake Through April 30
Free exhibit features artwork of DuPage Forest Preserve District staff and volunteers
Enjoy nature through the eyes of DuPage Forest Preserve District employees and volunteers at “Hidden Creativity: Nature Through the Eyes of District Staff and Volunteers,” an art exhibit through April 30 at Mayslake Peabody Estate at 1717 W. 31st St. in Oak Brook.

It’s the last art exhibit at the historic 100-year-old mansion before Mayslake closes for a yearlong exterior improvement project beginning May 31. The surrounding forest preserve and off-leash dog area will remain open.
Forest Preserve District staff and volunteers share their nature-themed paintings, drawings, photography, sculptures, fabric and textiles, and 3D printing. Contributing artists include volunteers Ratindra Das, Conrad Fialkowski, Denis Kania, Katherine Howard and Marian Pezdak.
“Celebrate the creative talents of Forest Preserve District staff and volunteers at this lovely exhibit,” said Shannon Burns, curator of the exhibit and education program coordinator at Mayslake.
Exhibit hours are Monday – Friday noon – 3 p.m., and Saturdays 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. An artists’ reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 11.
