Derek Gronlund is an environmental interpreter with the Forest Preserve District. He has been working in environmental and outdoor education since 2007, sharing science and nature with a wide variety of audiences. He has a B.S. and M.S. in animal sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, as well as a M.S.Ed. in curriculum and instruction with a focus on environmental and interpretive education from Northern Illinois University.
