Volunteer With Us

Our Forest Preserve District’s volunteer program offers opportunities to assist and support staff across many diverse programs.

Restoration Workdays

Help improve a forest preserve prairie or woodland by collecting seeds or removing nonnative plants. Choose a workday that fits with your schedule — weekends and weekdays are available. Ages 8 and up; under 18 with an adult. Register online or at 630-206-9630 at least five days in advance (10 days by phone for groups of five or more). 
 

Volunteer Programs

Our volunteer program is designed to engage volunteers who are willing to donate their time, talents, and resources to support the Forest Preserve District’s programs and staff in carrying out its mission, purpose, and guiding principles.
