Wild Things: Archers Welcome at Blackwell Archery Range

The popularity of the "Hunger Games" movies may be responsible for the growing popularity of the sport of archery, says District ranger Adam Carlson. Blackwell Forest Preserve has a dedicated archery area with three ranges: beginner, advanced and interactive. Each range has bow racks as well as limestone shooting lines with overshot and clear zones. There's also a common spectator area. The District also offers archery programs and friendly competitions at various forest preserves throughout the year for all skill levels.

Carlson talks about the sport of archery and the program offerings on Wild Things on WDCB Radio (90.9 FM).
