Wild Things: A Reminder about Trail Etiquette in the Preserves

With 145 miles of trails, it's no surprise that more than 4 million people visit our 60 forest preserves each year. Most of the individual trails in the forest preserves below are open to hikers, joggers, snowshoers and wildlife-watchers, but a handful may have seasonal or site-specific restrictions.

Now that the weather is warming up and more people are getting out on the trails, it's a good time to remind visitors of proper trail etiquette when biking or hiking in the preserves.

District ranger Adam Carlson provides tips and advice for trail users in our preserves on Wild Things on WDCB Radio (90.9 FM).
